French companies will continue with expansion plans in Mexico

Even after getting a downgrade today and thus losing the AAA rating from S&P , French companies will continue with expansion plans in Mexico.

Nationally, France has over 400 companies with investments of 13 billion euros, which generate 90,000 jobs, with sales amounted of One Billion euros, said the French Minister of Economy, Pierre Lellouche.

Distrito Federal • Despite the severe economic crisis in Europe, French companies will continue with expansion plans, mainly in emerging countries like Mexico, where there is a great opportunity for growth, said the French Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry for Foreign Trade ‘Pierre Lellouche’.

In conference, the European official said his country’s 400 companies have invested 13 billion euros in Mexico, where they generate 90,000 jobs, and their sales amounted to one billion euros.

He added that the European Union’s concern focuses more on the slow internal growth it has.

For his part, Bruno Ferrari, Minister of Economy, said that from January to November 2011 there was $157 million invested in Mexico by the French business, which represented an increase of 57 percent over the same period in 2010.
