The president emphasized that tourism is strategically important in order to boost growth and raise living standards for Mexican families, we should not forget that it represents nine percent of gross domestic product (GDP). (more…)

Mexico receives more remittances than any other country in Latin America and the Caribbean , with almost 21.3 billion dollars in 2010, a slight increase from the previous year according to the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) & Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) .

The report “Remittances to Latin America and the Caribbean during 2010 and theStabilization after the crisis” reveals that Guatemala moved into second place with about 4.1 billion dollars last year, an increase of almost 5% over 2009. (more…)

The Archdiocese of Mexico has regarded the United States as the “real culprit” in the growing drug violence plaguing Mexico . The Archdiocese said the United States  has failed to keep thousands of guns from entering  Mexico and has done very little to stem drug use in America.

After the Earthquake that ranged between 8.4 and 8.9 on Friday in Japan , The government of Mexico sent a first brigade of specialists search and rescue of people and a second contingent will depart soon.

The government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), said the first group of rescuers departed on Friday at 19:50 pm and the second group will do the same this Saturday around 19:00 local time . (more…)

Mexico City .- Citizens will be able to submit complaints or illegal activity through a phone application , it’s free to install for smartphones , The Attorney General of the Federal District (PGJDF) said today.

This application, available starting Thursday, will facilitate the receipt of complaints at the time that someone is a victim or witness a crime said the public prosecutor. (more…)
