Mexico has all the conditions to be the market leader in medical tourism, said the head of the Tourism Ministry, Gloria Guevara and Health Ministry José Ángel Córdova. At the opening of the first Health Tourism Forum, held in Monterrey, Nuevo León, federal officials said the impetus to this segment will attract more visitors, increase spending on this activity and generate more sources employment.

Cancun – Governor of Quintana Roo Felix Gonzalez said that the next three years, tourism in Mexico will grow by an average of three per cent to rate higher than that provided by the National Tourism Agreement, “and statistics indicate international wholesale carriers,” he said. The Ministry of Tourism announced the launch of the Ocean Star Cruises , it will visit six destinations of our country she said. The Secretary of Tourism, Gloria Guevara, announced that for the first time in its history Mexico had a national cruise line that will visit six destinations in the Pacific , Huatulco, Acapulco, Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo and Los Cabos which will generate annual spilled over 300 million dollars.

Mexico has long been one of the major tourist destinations in the world and continues to climb after receiving nearly 22 million foreign visitors in 2010 and got revenue of about 11 billion dollars from that, said the head of the WTO, Taleb Rifai .
